Leg Cramping

One very common symptom of varicose veins is leg cramping. Often prevalent at night, leg cramping happens as a result of venous valvular insufficiency. This means that fluid is accumulating during the day, and it returns to the vascular system at night – throwing off the osmotic balance and causing fibrin contraction. Sometimes, patients don't have any visible signs of these veins, so many doctors might think the leg cramping is due to certain vitamin deficiency. But with a simple ultrasound, we can determine if failed valves are the cause.

Dr. Brian Davison and the rest of the team at The Vanishing Vein are proud to provide vein treatments and other cosmetic procedures to patients throughout Framingham, Boston, Newton, Worcester, Cambridge, Lowell and Quincy, MA.
