Itching-Burning
Itching and burning are also symptoms of varicose veins. The skin can demonstrate what looks to be severe dryness. The dryness is often diagnosed as eczema. This eczema is due to blood pooling in the legs. Since the blood cells cannot be cleared, the veins pull in surrounding water causing a dryness and sometimes redness to the skin in the area. While lotions can help, treatment of the veins can go a lot further in improving this condition. Burning is extremely common in people with vein disease from transient pain that improves with rubbing to full extremity discomfort.
